Before/After School Clubs - wrap around childcare
Danesholme Infant and Junior Academy’s Breakfast & After School Club is committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to provide safe, stimulating and enjoyable childcare for children who attend the Danesholme Academies.
At present, Breakfast and After School Club is only available to children in Reception to Year 6.
The club is run by suitably qualified staff who are employed by the Greenwood Academies Trust. Overall management of the club is by the Executive Principal of the Academy.
Breakfast and After School Club is held in the School Hall and designated room at Danesholme Junior Academy. The club also has access to the Academy’s facilities, such as the playground and field.
The registration form must be completed before you can use the provision, It also acts as an agreement to our terms and conditions (see below). Payment will also need to be paid via your Arbor account.

Please note: the academies remain cashless. If you experience problems with your Arbor account please contact the office of the Academy your child attends, and we will be happy to help.
If we cannot offer a space, we can place your child to a waiting list.
Opening Times
We currently only provide term time child care. The After School club will be closed on teacher training days and in the case of any emergency school closure.
Breakfast club is from 07:45am to 8:45am. Breakfast is served between 8:00am and 8:30am. Children are taken to their classes at 8:45am.
After School club runs from 3:10pm to 5:45pm. Infant Academy children will be collected from their classrooms and walked to the juniors. A snack is served to the children at about 4:00pm.

Sessions are to be booked via Arbor and payment is to be made at time of booking.

Childcare vouchers
If you would like to use Childcare vouchers to pay for your before/after school club sessions, please email us at admin@danesholmejunioracademy.org with the following information:
- Pupil's full name
- Pupil's class
- Childcare voucher provider
- Name of Parent/Carer the Childcare Voucher Scheme is registered to
Information for your Childcare Voucher Provider
Your Childcare Voucher provider will ask for the following information:
- Full name and address of school
- School Department of Education (DfE) number
- School Unique reference number (URN)

Universal Credit/Tax Credit information
If you are in receipt of certain benefits, you may be able to claim some childcare costs back from your benefit provider.
If you would like to make a claim, they will require a letter from Danesholme Junior School.
To request this, please contact the school office with the information your benefits' provider is requesting, and we will arrange this letter for you.
If your benefits' provider does not state which information they require, we will produce a letter including the following information:
- Pupil's start date at Danesholme Infant/Junior Academy
- Full name and address of school
- School Department of Education (DfE) number
- School Unique reference number (URN)
- Cost of the before/after school sessions
